Leeds Launch Concert

On Friday 6th March, Cuore Chamber Orchestra launched into West Yorkshire with a concert in the Howard Assembly Room at the heart of Leeds.

“As well as stunning technique, it’s the youthful vigour of this 22-strong group of world class professional musicians from the UK and abroad which hits you in the eye beneath the barrel-vaulted ceiling of this intimate space.”

Graham Chalmers, Harrogate Advertiser

The concert was presented in a fundraising partnership with Leeds-based charity St Gemma’s Hospice, an organisation founded nearly 50 years ago with the help of Dutton’s grandfather Professor Gerald Richards.

As part of contributing to the cultural output of celebrations to mark 400 years of Leeds as a city, the concert featured the national premiere of Anglo-Italian composer Elisabetta Brusa’s ‘Simply Largo’ as well as works by Purcell, Parry and Dvořák.
