Educational Outreach Open Rehearsal

In the build up to their Leeds launch and as part of their educational outreach programme, Cuore was thrilled to welcome 60 young pupils and staff from The Grammar School at Leeds and Woodhouse Grove School, Bradford to an open rehearsal at the West Park Centre, Harrogate.

The morning started with an informative introduction to Cuore Chamber Orchestra and to the West Park Centre and “The Harrogate Story” presented respectively by Christopher Barnes and Stuart Holland.

Thereafter pupils and staff enjoyed an intimate exposure to the talented musicians of Cuore rehearsing and, for many, the opportunity to discover the beauty and complexity of Dvořák’s magnificent Serenade for Strings.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session with Cuore’s Artistic Director William Dutton and Trustee and General Secretary Christopher Barnes.
